For the next couple of weeks, we are reviewing the letters that we’ve learned throughout the school year.

On Tuesday, we reviewed the letters Aa, Mm, Ww and Jj. For morning centers, we made ten frames with jingle bells, did a winter/summer sorting page, matched upper- and lower-case ABCs with a moose theme, and used unifix cubes to make towers with the number of dots on the dominoes. In the afternoon, we wrote our names and colored our May coloring sample page. At the end of the did, we evaluated our letter sounds.

On Wednesday, we reviewed the letters Ff, Oo, Pp, and Rr. For morning centers, we used colored popsicles sticks to match the “farm” fence pattern, patterned with a Pete the Cat theme, practiced our opposites with opposite cards, and matched the number of “gears” to the number on the robot. In the afternoon, we did some more evaluating. At the end of the day, we listened to the poem and colored our May farm following directions coloring page.

On Thursday, we reviewed the letters Nn, Tt, Zz, and Bb and had our ABC Boot Camp. We got to wear camo to school. For morning centers, we made numbers out of different shaped pop-its, worked on an ABC Boot Camp booklet, did zoo animal tanagram pictures, and played with kinetic sand with zoo animals. In the afternoon, we finished up working on our ABC Boot Camp book. At the end of the day, we did some more evaluating.

The next couple of weeks are going to be busy days. As we are winding down, we are also having graduation practice and finishing up evaluations. I am also soaking up all the time that I can, spending it with the kiddos.

Until next week,

Mrs. Brandi
