Hi Parents,

We had a great week of letter boot camp reviewing the last letters of the alphabet! Here’s a snapshot…

On Tuesday we reviewed letters M,N,O,P,Q. In morning centers, the kids build numbers with snap cubes, they followed recipes to make ‘mud pie,’ and they counted buttons on to Pete the Cat. They also put together opposites puzzles. In the afternoon we had graduation practice, and we ended the day by cutting and gluing shapes.

On Wednesday we reviewed letters R,S,T,U,V. In morning centers, the kids worked on their alphabet boot camp book, they drew a picture and marked the letter that the picture started with on a snow globe, and they stacked small cups. In the afternoon the kids had graduation practice. We also released our butterflies and finished our alphabet boot camp books.

On Thursday we reviewed letters W,X,Y,Z and it was camping day! In morning centers, the kids colored pictures that start with the letter Y, they cut and glued the steps to making a s’more, and they traced X-ray pictures. They also played with kinetic sand and zoo animals. In the afternoon the kids had graduation practice and we ended the day by going in a big tent, reading a camping story, and ‘roasting marshmallows’ over a fire (a pretend one!).

Next week is our last week of school, I can’t believe it!

Take Care,
Missy
