This week we focused on the letter Tt. We talked about the sound the letter Tt makes.
On Tuesday, we focused on the theme of turkeys. For morning centers, we matched with turkey ten frames, did the Tt says /t/ page, matched ABCs with a turkey theme, and traced/wrote the letter Tt. For afternoon centers, we put magnets on a ” Tt is for Turkey” page, did a letter Tt maze, built with magnet building objects, and put together tanagram puzzles. At the end of the day, we played ABC Bingo to learn our ABCs.
On Wednesday, we focused on the theme of triangles and transportation. For morning centers, we matched with car number matching, made shapes (triangles) with kinetic sand, traced the shape of triangles, and made triangles with geoboards. In the afternoon, we had specials with all four all-day teachers. At the end of the day, we worked on riddles that start with the letter Tt.
On Thursday, we focused on being thankful. We were able to wear the color brown to school. For morning art, we made a handprint turkey with a thankful poem. For afternoon centers, we did fall tanagrams, did our November monthly coloring page, matched ABCs with acorn matching, and made patterns with linking chains. At the end of the day, we made “gratitude bracelets”. A tag was sent home with what each of the colors mean.
This coming up Tuesday is our Thanksgiving Party. It is from 9:15-10:00am. Anyone is more than welcome to join us!!!! Hope to see some of you there!!!!!
