This week we focused on the letter Tt and the sound the letter Tt makes. We also talked about words that start with the letter Tt. We came up with turkey, triangle, taco, turtle, ten and many more.

On Tuesday, we focused on the theme of turkeys. For morning centers, we worked with turkey ten frames, did out the Tt says /t/ cutting page, matched our upper-and lower-case ABCs, and put magnets on a turkey. For afternoon centers, we found the letter Tt on a worksheet, did a dress the turkey craft, traced/wrote the letter Tt and worked with tanagram puzzles. At the end of the day, we finished up our “dress the turkey” craft.

On Wednesday, we focused on the themes of triangles and transportation. For morning centers, we matched numbered cars to the numbered gas pumps, made triangles and other shapes with kinetic sand, traced and counted triangles and made triangles on geoboards. In the afternoon, we had specials with all four all-day teachers. At the end of the day, we played a Tt riddle game and colored a turkey.

On Thursday, we focused on “Thankful Thursday” and wore brown. For morning art, we colored, cut out the pieces, and glued together our Thankful Turkey”.  For afternoon centers, we colored a turkey color-by-number, finished our thankful turkeys, traced and wrote the letter Tt, and put together patterns with linking chains. Before we went home, we put together our “Gratitude bracelets” and I asked them the different things that they are grateful for that was on the card.

Until next week,
