Hi Parents,

We had a fun week learning about the letter N! Here’s a snapshot…

On Tuesday our theme was Noodle Necklaces. In morning centers, the kids counted noodles on to sticks, they painted with noodles, and they, of course, made noodle necklaces. In afternoon centers the kids put beads on spaghetti noodle towers, they built with noodles, and they cut, glued and colored a ‘this little piggy’ page. We ended the day by filling 10 of the Operation Christmas Child boxes. Thank you to those of you that donated items for the boxes!

On Wednesday our theme was Numbers. In morning centers, the kids clipped number wheels with clothes pins, they made numbers with Duplo blocks, and they stamped numbers on an upper and lowercase N. They then cut out the N’s. In the afternoon the kids rotated through specials learning Spanish, science/math, zoo phonics and sign language. We ended the day with our monthly name writing and coloring page.

On Thursday our theme was Nifty Names. In morning centers, the kids counted and made towers with unifix cubes, they worked on name books, and they also filled out a name worksheet. They wrote their name, counted the letters in their name and also wrote what their name starts with. In afternoon centers the kids played with pop characters and snap fidgets, they played with minions, and they cut the letters of their name out and glued it on a separate piece of paper. We ended the day with art. The kids tore pieces of paper and glued it on their names.

Next week we will talk about the letter T. Looking forward to it!

Take Care,

Missy
