This week we learned about the letter Z. Tuesday was Zany Zookeeper day. We started the day reading books with friends. In centers, we wrote upper and lowercase Z, did our Z cutting page, started our Zoo counting book, and played with Zoo animals. At art, we made zigzag Z’s. After art, we finished our zoo books and played with friends. At the end of the day, we played the riddle game and had story time.

Wednesday was Zeke Zebra day. We started the day coloring a zoo page. In Specials we introduced letter Z and watched our Zoophonics video. We also rotated through Spanish, Science, and Sign Language. In centers, we wrote about our favorite Zoophonics animal, found all the Z’s, did a zoo maze, and played with zoo animals. At the end of the day we filled the girl shoe boxes for Operation shoe box.

Thursday was zig zags and zippers day. We started the day writing our names and practiced our numbers. In morning centers, we traced zig zags, did our Z letter review page, cut and glued zoo patterns, and practiced zipping jackets. In afternoon centers, we wrote about what zoo animal we would be, made Z’s on geoboards, did subtitizing cards, and cut zig zags. At the end of the day, we did our boy shoe boxes for Operation shoe box.

See you next week for our T week, turkey, triangles, transportation, and thankful Thursday.
