This week we learned about the letter T. Tuesday was T is for Turkey day. We started the day coloring a turkey. In centers, we wrote the letter T, cut and glued T’s onto a turkey, counted turkey feathers, and did turkey hand prints. For art, we made Thankful turkeys. I asked the kids 4 things they are thankful for. They are hanging on the wall in the big room for our Thanksgiving party. Feel free to take it home after the party to show family and friends! At the end of the day, we played the riddle game and had chapel time where we talked about Operation shoe box, where they are going, and how grateful each child will be to receive it.
Wednesday was triangles and transportation day. We started the day writing our names in our quick kits. Then we had Specials, where we rotated through Spanish, Sign Language, Science, and Phonics. In centers, we did our T cutting page, rode toy cars on letters, did truck patterns, and made turkey headbands. At the end of the day, we got to play with friends.
Thursday was thankful Thursday and wear brown day. We started the day reading books with friends. In morning centers, we did our T letter review page, rode toy cars on shapes, and made gratitude bracelets. It was fun to see what each kid is grateful for. In afternoon centers, we made turkeys with play doh and feathers, did a connect the dot letter T, did Thanksgiving patterns, and played a Turkey Trot game.
