This week we learned about the letter N. Tuesday was name day. We started the day writing our names in our quick kits. In centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase N, put noodles on N, did a ten frame name sheet, and did our N cutting page. In art, we did some noodle art and made flowers with colored noodles. These turned out so cute and I hope you display them at home! At the end of the day, we played the riddle game and played with friends.
Wednesday was numbers day. We started the day reading books with friends. Then we had specials and learned about what sound N makes and watched the letter factory video for Phonics. We also rotated through sign language, Spanish, and science. In centers, we did an N letter review page, found all the N’s, popped numbers on pop its, and played numbers bingo. At the end of the day we played with toys, watched a video, and continued evaluations.
Thursday was noodle necklace day. We started the day playing with toys with friends. In morning centers, we wrote big N and little n on the big dry erase board, we made noodle necklaces, graphed noodles, and wrote on our drawing tablets. In afternoon centers, we practiced writing numbers 1-10 on the big board, did our September coloring sample, used paint dabbers to make apples up on top, and made N on geo boards. At the end of the day we did makeup work, played with friends, and had story time.
