This week was N week. Tuesday was Noodle Necklace day. We started the day reading books with friends. In morning centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase N, Found n’s, did a number trace cards, and made noodle necklaces. We changed lunch times today so the kids can eat lunch with another class. In afternoon centers, we counted noodles, put noodles on N, made N’s on Geo boards, and did our N cutting page. For art, we did tissue paper letters of our name. These look great in our classroom underneath our alphabet line. We ended the day with story time.
Wednesday was Fun with Numbers day. We started the day playing with toys with friends. In centers, we did our November writing sample, our N letter review page, pop it number trace, and numbers bingo. In specials, we watched our Zoo phonics video and practiced our motions and sounds to each letter. At the end of the day we played with toys and did some makeup work.
Thursday was Nifty Name day. We started the day practicing writing our first names. In morning centers, we wrote our names on dry erase boards, found the beginning letter sounds, wrote our name in 10 frames, and played with a sensory bin. In the afternoon, we took turns filling our Operation shoe boxes for those in need. Our class filled 10 boxes and the whole school filled 100 in total! The kids had fun doing this 🙂 At the end of the day we had a play doh fun time. This was a lot of fun to end our week 🙂 See you next week for our T week, turkeys, transportation, triangles, and we will talk about what we are thankful for!
