Hi Parents,

We had a really great week with the letter O. Here’s a snapshot…

On Tuesday our theme was ‘Observing the Outside (fall).’ In morning centers, the kids worked on some fall graphing with erasers, they put fall leaves on trees (beads on pipe cleaner trees), and they hole punched leaves. In afternoon centers the kids worked on a fall letter and number puzzle, they used circle magnets to fill fall mats, and they finished their wagons with their names on pumpkins that they had started earlier in morning centers. We ended the day with a leaf pin poke and playing with toys.

On Wednesday we had so much fun at Kregel’s Pumpkin Patch for our field trip! What a beautiful fall day!

On Thursday our theme was ‘Opposites and Owls.’ In morning centers, the kids counted beads on to the legs of an Octopus (pipe cleaners) with numbers above them, we played a game about opposites, and the kids looked at cards with 4 owls and used a clothes pin to clip the owl that was different. In afternoon centers the kids used circle magnets on owls, played with magnets and magnet wands, and colored, cut, and glued a crayon puzzle with their name on it. Those will come home next week! We ended our day with art. The kids painted a fall tree with cotton balls.

Next week we will talk about the letter P. Don’t forget that Tuesday will be our party at 10am. Looking forward to it!

Take Care,

Missy
