This week we focused on the letter Oo. We talked about the sound the letter Oo makes and words that begin with the letter Oo. We came up with octopus, owl, orange, oval and outdoors.

On Tuesday, we focused on the theme of outdoors (fall). For morning centers, we matched the correct number of objects with fall clip cards, did our Oo says /o/ page, traced/wrote the letter Oo, and laced with fall leaves lacing cards. For afternoon centers, we painted a fall tree with broccoli, made Oo with tanagram puzzle pieces, used a push pin to make a leaf, and played with fall tanagrams. At the end of the day, we did our Oo maze page and got to play with our friends the last 15 minutes of the day. We also read the book There Was an Old Lay that Swallowed Some Leaves.

On Wednesday, we had our field trip to the pumpkin patch. We had a great fall day for the field trip. It was nice to see all the families there!!!!

On Thursday, we focused on the theme of opposites and owls. For morning art, we sponge painted an owl. We will finish this next week. For afternoon centers, we matched opposites with opposite puzzles, did and opposite worksheet, matched ABCs with an owl theme, and covered up and owl with magnets. At the end of the day, we got to play with Mrs. Leslie’s class in the foyer with play centers. We had a great time!!!!!

Until next week,

Mrs. Brandi
