Hi Parents,
Another short week but we had a great time learning about the letter ‘Oo.’ Here is a snapshot…
On Tuesday our theme was ‘Observing the Outside (fall).’ In morning centers, the kids counted beads on to octopus tentacles (pipe cleaners) with numbers above them, they made leaves using scribble plates and then cut them out, they matched upper and lowercase letters (a squirrel to an acorn) and they cut and glued their O sheet. In afternoon centers the kids put together fall puzzles, they used magnets on fall circle fill mats, they hole punched leaves, and they completed a leaf pin poke. I posted pictures of these in GroupMe. It was a challenge for them and they turned out great! We ended the day outside followed by chapel. Ask your child what Mrs. Laura and Mrs. Kristina taught them at chapel!
On Wednesday our theme was ‘Owls and Opposites.’ In the morning the kids rotated through specials learning Spanish, science/math, zoo phonics, and sign language. In the afternoon the kids cut and glued pictures matching them to their shadows and then they did art. For art they made a mosaic owl. We ended the day with toys after art.
Have a wonderful fall break, see you on Tuesday! Don’t forget Tuesday is our Harvest party, Wednesday we are wearing orange, and Thursday the kids can wear costumes again if they want. Looking forward to it!
Take Care,
Missy
