This week we focused on the letter Oo. We talked about the sound the letter Oo makes and words that begin with the letter Oo. We came up with owl, onion, orange, oval, and opposites.

On Tuesday, we focused on the theme of outdoors (fall). For start-up, we colored our Oo page while we waited for all our friends to get to school. For morning centers, we worked on a fall themed clip cards, did a fall leaf push pin art, traced/wrote the letter Oo, and laced with fall themed lacing cards. After lunch, we did our Oo says /o/ page. Then we got to paint a fall tree with a bunch of Q-Tip’s. We also had chapel in the morning. Here we talked about how we can “plant God’s seed” (message) by reading The Pumpkin Parable. At the end of the day, we got to wiggled and dance our wiggles out.

On Wednesday, we focused on the theme of opposites and owls. For start-up, we practiced tracing/writing our names. The we went into our specials with the five all-day teachers. With Mrs. Aimee and Mrs. Brandi, we continued to do science experiments with rainbows. We got to see how our experiment from last week turned out and got to see a new one. For morning centers, we found the letter Oo by a maze and letter find, matched our ABCs with an owl theme, and made an owl out of magnets. After lunch and for art, we sponge painted and owl and we will be finishing these next week. At the end of the day, we talked a little about opposites.

On Thursday, we had fall break. I hope you all enjoyed the beautiful sunny day!!!!

Next Tuesday, is our “Harvest Party” on Tuesday at 1:15-2:00. Your child can wear their costume to school in the morning or we can put it on right before the party. Also, if you are attending the party, your child can go home with you after the party. Any questions, please contact me on GroupMe.
