This week we focused on the themes of Halloween, the color orange, and pumpkins!!!! We also reviewed the themes of the month.

On Tuesday, we started out the day by playing with manipulatives while we waited for all of our friends to get there. For morning centers, we counted out the correct number of pumpkin seeds to match the number on the pumpkin card, made shapes with geoboards, matched upper and lower case ABCs with a pumpkin theme, and linked the correct number of linking chains to match the number on the pumpkin. Then, we decorated our treat bags for our party. After lunch, we had our Harvest Party. We had so much fun!!!!

On Wednesday, we started the day by tracing/writing our names. Then we moved on to specials with the five all-day teachers. We are learning all different kinds of things in specials. For morning centers, we worked on putting together color puzzles, matched colored pom poms with the right color container, rolled a die to get a shape and a color and colored that shape/color on our paper, and connected colored manipulatives. In the afternoon, we made pumpkins with funny faced stickers. at the end of the day, we finished our colorful owl craft from last week.

On Thursday, we started the day by coloring a Happy Halloween pumpkin. For morning centers, we put the same amount on pumpkin erasers on the number, used Play-Doh on Halloween Play-Doh mats, matched our ABCs with a pumpkin theme, and did a pumpkin push pin art. After centers, we got to decorated mini pumpkins with silly face stickers. For Art in the afternoon, we got to make silly face pumpkins!!! They turned out really cute!!! At the end of the day, we played in the big room with Mrs. Leslie’s class in play centers. We were all so excited all day to go trick-o-treating at night!!!!
