We shaped floam into the letter F

We practiced fine motor by stringing beads

We tore paper-fine motor

We used magnet tiles to build

We practiced writing on our e-boards

We colored our “Itsy Bitsy Spider” nursery rhyme page

We used cookie cutters to cut squares out of play doh

We used our rubber band boards to practice our fine motor

We placed square blocks on taped out square shapes

We traced squares on quick kits

We practiced writing/tracing our names (start up project)

We did a farm following directions activity. This is something we do at the beginning  of each year to evaluate listening, color recognition/coloring skills, as well as their ability to follow a given direction. We read a story about a farm, which gives directions directions along the way, to tell the child what to color (the barn, the cow, etc) & what color to use.  We will do this exact activity again in May to compare the two & see their progress.

We did a Spookley art project-gluing small orange squares on  a larger black square, adding a stem, a leaf, and eyes to create their own square pumpkin.  They turned out super cute!

Until Next Week,

Mrs. Kelli
