This week was P week. Tuesday was P is for pumpkin day. We started the day playing toys with friends. In morning centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase P, did our P cutting page, did pumpkin 10 frames, and did our push pin pumpkins. In afternoon centers, we did a pumpkin patch puzzle, pop it numbers, roll a pumpkin game, and what number comes next. For art we painted little pumpkins. To end the day we had story time.

Wednesday was our harvest party day! We started the day practicing writing our first names. After circle time we had our party! We had so much fun with snacks, decorating our bags, playing games, and going trick or treating. I loved seeing all of their costumes! In centers, we practiced cutting lines, did a pop it tracing activity, played with Picasso tiles, and made a name ghost. At the end of the day, we added eyes to our pumpkins and had story time.

Thursday was popcorn and PJs day and our movie day. We also celebrated Caleb’s birthday. For morning work, we colored Spookley. In morning centers, we did our P letter review page, did a pumpkin letter match game, subitizing cards for math, and candy corn letters. In afternoon centers, we did a pop it game, a letter leaves game, candy corn counting, and decorated foam pumpkins. Then we watched our movie, Spookley the square pumpkin, and ate our popcorn. It was an awesome week! See you next week for shapes and colors week 🙂
