This week we celebrated Halloween and had our Harvest Party! Tuesday we started the day coloring a Halloween page. Then we had Circe time and bathroom break. Then we got to go to our Harvest Party. The kids started at making a craft together. They put their fingerprints onto a “thumbkin patch.” Then they got to rotate through 3 games, pumpkin buckets, pin the bat, and mummy wrap. At the end of the party, the kids got to trick or treat around the room. It was such a fun party!
Wednesday we celebrated Halloween. We started the day writing our first names and numbers. Then we had circle time and our bathroom break. For morning centers, we made our name ghost, played a letter leaves game, played a roll a pumpkin game, and decorated our own pumpkins! Then we had lunch and recess. For afternoon centers, we did a push pin pumpkin craft, did a paint dabber pumpkin craft, rolled Play-Doh to make pumpkins to put in ten frames, and played a number candy corn game. At the end of the day we played with our friends in big room while I continued evaluations.
Thursday was wear orange day. We started the day playing with toys with friends. Then we had circle time and bathroom break. For morning centers, we wrote the word orange and colored pictures orange, made O’s with orange Play-Doh, did a pumpkin patch puzzle, and sorted pom poms with Halloween teeth. Then we had lunch and recess. For afternoon centers, we wrote on drawing tablets, finished our pumpkin patch puzzle, did a what comes next counting page, and made letters and shapes on geoboards. At the end of the day we did some makeup work and had story time before going home for the weekend.
