This week, we focused on the #2, Noah’s Ark, & rectangles

 

Daily Devotions:

“God’s Not Finished Yet”-Philippians 1:6

“The Power to Please”- Philippians 2:13

“Thanks, God!”- Philippians 4:6

“Recipe for a Happy Heart”- Philippians 4:8

 

Books we read:

On Noah’s Ark

No, David!

 

Centers this week:

We did Noah’s Ark animal matching

We practiced writing on our e-boards

We practiced 1:1 correspondence using number blocks & pegs

We did ABC matching on magnetic boards

We did a Noah’s Ark felt board

We colored our nursery rhyme page, “This Little Piggy”

We made rectangles using our rubber band boards

We used blocks to create rectangle shapes

We used rectangle Jenga blocks

We made rectangles out of play-doh, rolling it out with a rolling pin & using cookie cutters

 

Art/Other:

We did a #2 activity, using pairs of animal stickers to show how the animals went 2 by 2 on the Ark

We practiced cutting with scissors!

 

We had November Chapel time & learned about Operation Christmas Child. We are hoping this will help the kids better understand the meaning behind stuffing the shoeboxes next week. If you can, please try to touch on the concept of this at home to make the lesson the most meaningful.  We also learned the verse: “God loves a cheerful giver.” – 2 Corinthians 9
