This week we continued to focus on the letter Aa. We talked more about what sound the letter Aa makes.

On Tuesday, we focused on the theme of ABC Astronauts. For morning centers, we made ten frames out of “moon rocks”, made our ABCs out of Play-Doh, matched upper-and lower-case ABCs with a rocket theme, and painted our “moon” with foil for our astronaut project. For afternoon centers, we played the roll-a-planet game, colored a color-by-number rocket, colored our astronaut and flag for our project, and put together puzzles. At the end of the day, we started our Original Works art project.

On Wednesday, we focused on the theme of Ally Alligator. For morning centers, we played the match-it counting game, cut out our moon and pasted it on black paper, matched the ABCs with Ally Alligators, used q-tips to dot paint an alligator. For afternoon centers, we finished our astronaut project, traced/wrote the letter Aa, played with Legos, and played in a sensory bin by putting beads in a container. At the end of the day, we finished our Apples Up on Top project.

On Thursday, we focused on the theme of “Ants in the Pants”. For morning art, we cut and pasted together an alligator. For afternoon centers, we rolled a die and put that many ants in the grass, played with kinetic sand with ants, made our ABCs with the ABC construction set, and worked on Original Works some more. At the end of the day, we wrote our names and colored our September monthly coloring page. Before we went home, we went into the sanctuary and had chapel. We learned about how God made everything in seven days. We, also, learned a song about Creation. We had fun dancing to the song!!!!!

Until next week,
