This week we focused on the letter Mm and the sound the letter Mm makes.
On Tuesday, we focused on the book If You Give a Moose a Muffin. For morning centers, we counted the number of muffins on clip cards, did the Mm says/m/ page, matched upper-and lower-case ABCs with a moose/muffin theme, and traced/wrote the letter Mm. In the afternoon, we worked in different centers while Mrs. Brandi helped us finish our Original Works art. At the end of the day, we read the book If You Give a Moose a Muffin and had fun eating yummy muffins!!!
On Wednesday, we focused on Mm is for Mustache!!! For morning centers, we measured pictures of mustaches with uni-fix cubes, practices cutting with mustache faces, did a moose creative writing, and played a mustache spin and match color game. In the afternoon, we did a following directions muffin craft. At the end of the day, we played a couple games of color/shape bingo. We also read the book The Pout, Pout Fish and the Mad, Mad Day.
On Thursday, we had our field trip to Fair Oaks Farm!!! It was nice seeing all the kids, parents, grandparents and families that came out on the very nice day!!! I hope everyone had a great time!!!!
Please keep working at home with your child with tracing/writing their name and cutting with scissors.
