This week was A week!

Tuesday was a red day. It was so fun to see everyone in the color red. We started the day writing our first names in our quick kits. In morning centers, we started our red books for writing, practiced our A’s for phonics, counted apples with clothespins for math, and cut out letters to make something red for our fine motor center. In art, we made our tissue paper laminated apples. They look so great in our window! In afternoon centers, we finished our red books, played an apple matching game, traced numbers to apple barrels, and did a red/not red worksheet. At the end of the day, we had our first chapel, talking about creation. Thank you to all that came out to Dairy Queen!

Wednesday was apple day. We started the day playing toys with friends. In morning centers, we got to taste apples and pick our favorite color apple. Red won for our class! We also traced apples, did our A cutting page, played apple seed dominoes, and made apples out of play doh. In afternoon centers, we painted apples with paint dabbers, made A’s with play doh, counted how many apples, and did our first push pin project for fine motor. To end the day, we got to play outside!

Thursday was astronaut day! We started the day coloring an astronaut. In morning centers, we wrote A’s for writing, did our 5 little astronaut activity pages for math, painted our moon using foil, and played with kinetic sand and moon rocks for sensory. In afternoon centers, we did rhyming words for phonics, colored our astronauts and flags, counted moon rocks for math, and painted hand prints for our original works.

See you next week for our M week with muffins and mustaches! Excited for our field trip to the apple orchard on Tuesday 🙂
