Hi parents.
This week we learned a lot about the letter “A”. We colored our letter “A” page, put apple erasers on letter A’s, magnets on letter A’s, did a letter “A” letter find and played with our Apple fanta board. We also learned about circles and ovals. We colored circles and ovals, did some circle and oval sorting, cut circles and ovals out of play doh and used our magnetic bingo chips to sort circles and ovals. The kids had a good week at centers!
We didn’t have any art this week, instead we had our 1st chapel time of the year. We learned about the “Golden Rule” and our #1 rule at school, which is Never hurt anyone on the inside or outside! We illustrated this point by using apples to show how our insides could be hurt with mean words or actions, as well as our outsides. The kids seemed to understand this well.
We had a lot of fun in the big room also. We had a color find using bean bags, did the bean bag dance and also got to dance around to music.
The kids are really starting to adjust well to our daily routines.
