We started our M week with the theme “If you give a moose a muffin.” We started the day practicing writing our first names. For morning centers, we wrote upper and lowercase M, did a moose muffin connections page, matched muffins and jam with ten frames, and wrote our names with letter muffins. In afternoon centers, we got to eat muffins, we did a moose muffin comprehension page, did letter matching with muffins and jam, and sorted colors in a muffin pan. For art, we did a moose mustache craft. They cut out their own M and added a mustache and eyes. At the end of the day, we voted on our favorite muffin, birthday cake won, and had story time.

Wednesday was mustache day. We started the day playing with toys with our friends. In morning centers, we traced the alphabet and practiced tracing our hands. We did a M cutting page and played a memory game. We also made our very own mustaches. The kids loved these! In afternoon centers, we did a color mustache game with a game spinner, wrote about what we would give a moose, made letters and shapes with wiki sticks, and wrote our names with magnetic letters, At the end of the day, we did some makeup work and had story time.

Thursday was our field trip day! We had so much fun at Fair Oaks Farm! See you next week for F week, frogs and farm 🙂
