Tuesday we continued working on the letter A with Astronaut day. We started the day reading books with friends and had circle time. In centers, we practiced writing upper and lowercase A, colored our astronaut page, counted astronauts and circled the number, and played with kinetic sand and moon rocks. In art, we foil painted our moon. Then we counted and glued 5 little astronauts to go along with our astronaut poem. At the end of the day, we got to play with our friends and continued evaluations.

Wednesday we started a new letter with the new month of October. We learned about the letter O with owls and opposites day. We started the morning playing toys and then we started our first day of Specials. The kids rotated around to different teachers to learn phonics. sign language, Spanish, and science. In centers, we did our O cutting page, matched opposites, did a letter owl match, and found all the O’s. At the end of the day, we played the O riddle game and had story time.

Thursday was our observing the outdoors day. We also celebrated Kaylin’s birthday! We started the day writing our names and numbers in our quick kits. In morning centers, we started our colors of Fall books, played a letter leaves game, did a leaf roll add and color, and did a cotton ball painting of an autumn tree. In afternoon centers, we did our O letter review page, finished our colors of Fall books, played with geoboards, and made a leaf with paint dabbers. At the end of the day, we got to go on a nature walk outside. The kids always love getting out in the nice weather to take a walk!

See you next week for our F week, Farm, Frog, and we will have our picture day!
