Mrs. Kelli’s Preschool Classroom
Welcome to our class page! I will update this weekly throughout the year. I hope this gives you a better idea of what we do in school on a daily basis, because I know some kids don’t share much information. 🙂
Our daily schedule is:
Arrival
Bathroom Time
Big Room Time (music/movement)
Circle time-this includes going over monthly themes, calendar, daily devotion, songs, & story time, etc
Center time-this is ‘work’ time- it includes things such as fine motor work, writing, coloring, math centers, manipulatives, abc’s, cutting, etc
Art time &/or extra time-we will do various art projects, or play bingo, go outside, have free play time, extra music/movement to go w/ daily theme, etc
Recall time– a few minutes at the end of the day to talk about our day, review what we learned
Dismissal
Here’s what we did this week:
This week, we focused on getting to know each other, the school routine, & the circle & oval shape

Centers:
We played with play doh
We wrote on our e- writing boards
We built with unifix cubes for fine motor practice
We played & built with our suction cup toys
We used magnetic tiles of different shapes
We sorted circles & ovals
We laced buttons
We colored circles and ovals different colors
We used our rubber band boards for fine motor practice
We used our sort a shape boards
Art:
We painted our hands to make a gift for you!
Extra:
We went in the big room and used bean bags to find & identify colors. We also played outside one day, and played together in the big room the other day!
I hope your children enjoyed their first week! I’m very excited to get to know them & work with them this year. It takes a few weeks to settle in, learn the rules, routine, etc. So far, it seems to be going very well. We had many more smiles than tears!
