Hello! Welcome to 3 All Day Pre-K!! My name is Mrs. Kristina and I will be your child’s teacher in the Super Hero Class! This page will be a rundown of what we did in class all week! This week was busy and hectic as we learn new routines and get used to a structured schedule. It might take some time but we’ll get there!

Tuesday was our first day back! We tried to make it easy!  We did a painting hands project, colored a back to school sheet, used rubber band boards, and matched magnetic letters to our name. We went outside for a bit and then in the afternoon we practiced our cutting skills, did shape puzzles, sorted bears by color, and traced numbers.
We all returned Wednesday so it must’ve been fun! In class we did a pencil following directions craft where we had to write our name, color the pieces, cut the pieces out, and glue it all together. It had many steps but the kids did great. They are banging in the hall. We practiced tracing lines, counted to 10 with unifix cubes, and put round stickers on a back to school sheet. We used our extra time in the afternoon to finish our pencil craft because it was so many steps! And we also played with different building toys in the classroom- wooden blocks, little legos, and magnetic blocks.
The first week always seems so long! We made it to Thursday! Today we played our school theme for the year The Very Hungry Caterpillar”

In the classroom we made a craft with cut up paper to form a glue bottle stating “In our class we all stick together”, we counted Pom Pom’s to make caterpillar bodies, made our names out of playdoh, and used lacing cards from The Very Hungry Caterpillar. In the afternoon we practiced cutting to make paper chain caterpillars. They turned out really cute! They are crawling on the wall in the hallway at school. After that project we figured the kids were done for the week so we took them outside to run around a bit before dismissal.

It was a fun week getting to know each other! I’m hoping for a great year as our friendships develop!

Just a couple things about lunch Please label all lunch boxes and water bottles!! Many of you shopped for the same Spider man lunch box so we want to keep it with the right child!!  Also remember we are a nut free school! Please do not send anything with nuts in your child’s lunch it will be sent home and they will be hungry! Thank you for your understanding!

Have a great weekend! See you on Tuesday!
