Hello Welcome to Letter D week recap! All about Dental and Dinos!

On Tuesday we talked about the Dentist and what happens when you go there. We learned about how we can take care of our teeth and even mentioned what happened if you don’t!

In our centers we practiced writing our letters on white boards, Roll and cover a number on teeth and erase with a toothbrush, Letter D trace and write quick kit, crocodile teeth game, practiced flossing using playdoh and a duplo block.

In the afternoon we did our Letter D sounds worksheet and talked about what foods are good/bad for our teeth and practiced brushing on some model teeth.

Wed and Thursday were our Dino days!
On Wed we had specials with a 15 minute lesson in each – Spanish, phonics, sign language, and science was about dental health to touch on Tuesdays Dental day!

In our centers we did A dinosaur creative writing page, made a shape Dino, Roll the dice and add spikes to the Dino, I spy and count Dinos, a capital to lower case letter match.  In the afternoon we did some Dino free play and colored/cut/glue together Dino puzzle. We also dropped our Dino eggs in water to watch them hatch.

On Thursday in our centers we talked about what Dino’s eat and did a creative writing paper, matched up Dino tails and bodies, measured Dino’s with paper clips, sorted and counted colored Dino’s, used Dino cookie cutters to make Dino’s.

In the afternoon we used Dino paint stamps, and did a Dinosaur directed draw. All the kids said they didn’t know how to draw a dinosaur, but they did it and they did great!

We also took home our Dino eggs. We had a few completely hatched but not all of them. I hope the kids have fun watching them through the weekend

I can’t believe we start March next week! This year sure is flying by!

Have a great weekend!
