Hello! Welcome back! I hope everyone had a restful Spring Break! As we come back we start winding down the school year, I can’t believe we are almost done! In my home we are celebrating a Senior in high school and I feel like this year has gone by especially fast!

On Tuesday we did some more Spring Activities!

In our centers we used Q tips to paint a flower, practiced writing spring words, made flowers out of floam, sound/letter matching and our March name sample. In the afternoon we did a flower cut and paste project.

On Tuesday we switched our focus to the Letter Y and color Yellow. We had a lot of yellow in our class- we had a lot of participation! In our centers we wrote words of yellow objects, water colored a flower, a letter Y quick kit, and a yellow play doh mat.  We also had specials on Wednesday so we did a lesson  in Sign language, phonics and Spanish. For a science lesson we experimented with sink or float with items in plastic Easter eggs.

In the afternoon we played the Hokey Pokey in a yellow yarn hoop. The kids loved this! So simple but they really had fun! We also finished our watercolor flower.

On Thursday Y was for Yarn. We laced an octagon on a paper plate, a letter Y sounds worksheet, rainbow write Y, made a Y with chain links , and a fill in the missing number quick kit. In the afternoon we did a yarn art egg project and played number Bingo!

Next week we celebrate Easter and focus on the letter Q! The Q sound is a tough one!
I hope you all have a Happy Easter weekend with your families!
