Hello! We started our week by celebrating Easter and then worked our way into the Letter Q!

On Tuesday we did lots of Easter activities! In our centers we sorted jelly beans by color, colored an egg, matched up letters hidden in Easter eggs,  in a sensory bin full of eggs used magnet wands to see how many we could catch, and stacked eggs with playdoh as glue.

In the afternoon we had an egg hunt where the kids had to find eggs labeled with their class number and the first initial of their first and last name. We also did a water color Easter craft.

On Wednesday We focused on The Letter Q! In our centers the kids worked on a sheet about Mom, used hole punches to mark the letter Qq, used dot stickers to mark the number 20, made a Q with unifix cubes, and traced and wrote the letter Q. In the afternoon we did an indoor  obstacle course and did a handprint craft. In our specials we had a lesson on phonics, sign language, and Spanish. Our science project was about the different parts of a plant and how they grow.

Thursday was Q is for Quilt. In our centers we worked on a sheet All about Dad, a Q sounds worksheet, Using dice we counted and picked up mini erasers with tweezers to fill a cup, practiced writing the Letter Q on a white board, and found “quarters in a quarry”. They had to sift through mini sandboxes to find quarters. In the afternoon we did a painting project and colored patterns on a quilt worksheet.

Next week we move on to the Letter B! Have a great weekend!
