Hello! Welcome to “B” week!

On Tuesday B was for Butterfly! We also got our graduation pictures taken. Lots of great smiles will be coming your way!

On Tuesday in our centers we did a Butterfly creative writing project, counted fire flies and recorded the number, measured caterpillar cards, used a hammer and golf tee to poke holes around a butterfly, and worked out the butterfly life cycle on a felt board. In the afternoon we did a letter sounds worksheet and a handprint project for Dad.

On Wednesday we had fun with B is for Bugs! In our centers we did a handprint project for Mom, played Ants in the Pants, colored over raised bug stencils, used tweezers to pull bugs from a sensory bin, and traced and wrote the letter B. In specials we had a lesson in Spanish, Phonics, and Sign Language. We also learned the life Cycle of a butterfly in Science. In the afternoon we used indoor scooters, and colored in the matching lower case letter.

Thursday we worked on Brown Bear Brown Bear for the letter B.

In our centers we did a Brown Bear creative writing, letter B sounds worksheet, tracing numbers 1-20, Brown Bear Brown Bear felt pieces to retell the book, and used dot markers to paint a brown bear.

In the afternoon we sponge painted a butterfly, and put our projects together for King and Queens Day.

Next week is King and Queens Day! We are excited to celebrate you! Children are free to go when the program is over!

Have a great weekend!
