Hello! We had a great week! The kids seem to be having fun and are learning how to share our classroom space, tools, and toys with each other. Learning to Share and  communicate with each other and the teachers is an important skill at this age!

On Monday/Tuesday we focused on ovals and circles and how they are different. We used Bingo dot markers to fill in an oval and a circle. We read Pooh’s Shape Sail.

In our centers we traced ovals and circles, sorted ovals and circles, made ovals and circles out of playdoh, colored ovals and circles, and did some name tracing.

On Wed/Thursday we worked on the letter A. We did a finger paint activity and we listened to the story Under the Apple Tree.

In our centers we colored our A ABC page, traced lines in apples, put apple erasers on A, counted apples, color matching alligators.

We really emphasized the stop light system this week. Please remind your child they want to be on the green light to get a sticker (Mon/tuesday) or Treasure Box (Wed/Thursday).  We are really working on following directions and keeping our hands to ourselves. It all takes time!

Have a great weekend!
