This week we reviewed our September items and got a sneak peak at our next weeks letter. We have been improving in the month we have been at school and see lots more improvements as we continue through the year.
Monday: Fall Things – Start up today was working on our names in our QKs. Please practice having your child write their name at home. I would like all children to be able to do this independently by Christmas break. Our centers today were a circle hunt, oval trace in QKs, letter Aa find and creating our tie-dye leaves. The books were I Want That Nut!, the Leaf Thief, and There was an old lady who swallowed some leaves.
Tuesday: Fall Activities – Start up was a letter Aa review page. Our activities were get our handprints for our spiders we created, an oval hunt and making our name wagons. Books today were Little Acorn, The Silly Scarecrow, and Little Critters The Fall Festival.
Wednesday: Today was our first day of specials. Every Wednesday we will have specials with the 3-day all day Pre-K classes. Kids will rotate between the four classrooms and get special instruction on different topics with each teacher. There will be spanish, sign language, phonics, and science. This was our first week doing them and all went well. Looking forward to next week. The books were The Boy Who Wouldn’t Share and Little Critter I Was So Mad. We also made our torn paper mummies!
Thursday: Preview next week – Books were set up at start up today. We got handprints which will be turned into leaves and we created our tie-dye ghosts that will be out in the hallway next week. (Ill send a picture when they dry and get up there) We also worked on a letter Mm review page. The books were Pumpkin Magic and Little Critter Just Me and my Friend.
Please let me know if you have questions over anything this week! Reminder Monday is picture day! Regardless if you are buying any pictures, all students will have their picture taken for a class composite.
