Hello! We had a fun week! We finished up September and introduced some of the lessons for October!
On Monday/Tuesday we did September review with a Fall twist. We read The Very Busy Squirrel, and we made yellow footprints- which will soon look like corn on the cob! We will be hanging them in the school with our ABC Farm!
In our centers we put leaves on numbered trees with Qtips and paint, played with play doh, sorted apples by color, counted leaves on clip cards and clipped the correct number, found the letters Aa and Mm in a fall themed sensory bin.
On Wed/ Thursday we introduced the Letter F. We read This Book Will Not be Fun and we colored a farm pictures using a following directions story prompt.
In our centers we colored our F ABC page, put feathers on F, traced lines to get to the frog, counted frogs and found the corresponding number, used a imaginative play with farm felt pieces on a felt board.
Next week we will start the week with picture day and welcoming The Fire Department to our school to teach us some fire safety!
