Wow, I can not believe it is the end of October and we are still enjoying weather in the 70’s. I will continue to take the class outside for at least 15 minutes everyday as long as it is not raining so please send your child to school with coats and hats as the weather get colder.
On Monday, Mrs. Tiffany did a great job in my absence. The class learned all about Owls, had Chapel, and made a pumpkin patch journal entry.
On Tuesday, the children continued to work on their “O” writing. They also wrote the word bat and did the first part of a bat project that will go home Monday. I read the story Stellaluna to the class which is a fun story about baby bat and three baby birds.
On Wednesday, The class finished their bats, played opposite games and worked on counting and number writing.
Looking ahead: Monday is the Harvest Party. The children are welcome to come to school in a costume. Feel free to take your child home after the party if it works better in your schedule. On Halloween I will plan some fun activities – Halloween/orange and black attire is encouraged!
Enjoy the long weekend.
