We covered the letter Tt this week and created some animals and had tacos!
Monday- Terrific Tigers: Start up today was a letter Nn review page from last week. Centers included a domino number match, letter Tt sound pictures and tracing, rectangle tracing in QKs and a Tt item page to color. We also created our Timmy the Tiger Zoophonics animal. The books today were our AlphaTale Story for letter Tt and Just Me in the Tub, a Little Critter book.
Tuesday- Tacos: We practiced our names in QKs to start. Activities today included a letter Tt practice page, completing some taco patterns and creating our own pretend tacos! The kids enjoyed making them and the two books we read that went along with our taco Tuesday. We read Dragons Love Tacos and Dragons Love Tacos 2.
Wednesday- T is for Transportation: Start up today was a large uppercase T the kids colored the items inside. Today we had centers and when students came to my center, we talked about static electricity and moved a pop can using static electricity from a balloon. The kids enjoyed using their “heads” for this one! We completed the following centers after specials a truck we colored and cut out and an air/land/sea color, cut, sort page. We did not have any time for a story today.
Thursday- Talking Turkey: Our names in QKs were our start up activity today. We created our own turkey hats, filled out and drew a picture for something they are thankful for and also completed a turkey tips color, cut, paste page. The story today was Turkey Trouble which got some laughs at the end of the day.
Next week is a short week for Thanksgiving and our Harvest/Thanksgiving party is on Monday. There was a sign up email that went out and if you did not get to sign up, you are still welcome to come! Our party is from 10-10:45 which pushes our lunchtime back just a short bit. Please let me know if you have any questions.
