We are in the first week of December! Time is cruising by! This week we covered the letter Jj and started working hard more on all the Christmas goodies your child is making for you!
Monday: Jumping Jellyfish – Start up was our names in QK, which we are making some progress on being able to all write our names. We completed our Jj practice writing page, created our Jerry the Jellyfish Zoophonics animal, colored and cut out our light bulbs for the hallway and started our name Christmas trees. The book today was our AlphaTale story Jaguar’s Jungleberry Jamboree.
Tuesday: Jolly Jellybeans – Start up was a jellyfish color page we didn’t get to yesterday. The activities we did today were roll a dice for a jellybean, finished up our Christmas name trees and started our gingerbread houses. We also had our first Christmas play practice. We also made our paper countdown chains to Christmas.
Wednesday: “J” is for Jesus – Start up we finished coloring and/or cut out our gingerbread houses. We also worked on some Christmas crafts for our parents, Jj is for Jesus paint dabber page, Jesus is the Reason for the Season color page and J is for Jesus practice Jj writing. The book today was Click Clack Ho Ho Ho.
Thursday: Jingling to Christmas – Start up was our names in QKs. We completed a Jj letter sound page and worked hard on some Christmas goods for our parents! We had another play practice day today also…parts were given out and if your child has a line to say Mrs. Trish says it first and they just repeat, there is no lines that are needed to memorize. Books today were It’s Christmas David! and 10 Things You Never Knew About Santa Claus.
Next week we will cover the letter Cc and finish up all our Christmas crafts for our parents to be ready to go home with you on the program day! Looking forward to the next 8 days as we close out the year!
