First, I want to say thank you to the families that sent in Christmas stickers. I think the class could have made cards all day if we had time! I wish I could have video taped how much fun the card making center was today but I was busy at the painting center making Christmas surprises with the children. It was so popular that we had to squeeze in extra chairs. There will be another card making center in February so start collecting stickers and envelopes to send in for the first week of February.
Second, the class is all ready for the pageant on Wednesday at 9:30. They will be bringing home gifts to share with their families. The children will be dismissed directly after the pageant.
Third, this week was a very busy week and all the days ran together with a flurry of activity BUT next week will be much calmer and the focus will be all about enjoying the season and having fun.
The letter this week was “J” for Jesus. We read several books about the first Christmas and of course had pageant practice. The children put the finishing touches on their gifts and we ended the day with letter or number BINGO.
I can not give too many more details but I am sure that on Wednesday when you see the pageant and get the gifts you will fully understand how busy we have been!!
Looking ahead:
Monday is all about Gingerbread, Tuesday is Jingle Bell Day and Thursday is our class party.
The pageant starts at 9:30 drop the children off at the usual time. The children will be dismissed to go home after the show.
Merry Christmas.
