Cc is for clouds, cookies, and of course, candy canes!!
Tuesday we had tons of fun using clouds for our centers. We made shape clouds, counted rain drops and even did a cloud creative writing . We read a book that talked about all the fun shapes you can see in the clouds. They got to write about and draw a picture of what kind of cloud they’d like to see in the sky. I usually take them outside and observe clouds but it was too cloudy 🙁
Wednesday was all about the book, If You Give a Mouse a Cookie. We used cookies and a cookie jar to do some beginning sound practice, we had another creative writing, and chocolate chip counting. The kids favorite part of the day was when we got to eat cookies! They got a cookie, icing AND sprinkles ! So fun.
Thursday was candy cane craziness . We made candy cane ornaments which helped teach patterns, they candy cane letters with pipe cleaners, and did candy cane size sequencing . We also made a really special candy cane art project this week and I can’t wait for you all to see them next week. We also did letter Cc cut and paste that we do for every letter. They are really doing a great job of doing these independently now !!
Next week will be a little crazy but I can’t wait. We have ugly sweater day, our Christmas play, and a Grinch movie pajama day!
