H is for heart, hibernate, and house.

On Monday, the class did and experiment with candy hearts, estimated how many candy hearts were in the baby food jar and graphed candy hearts.

On Tuesday, the children brought in stuffed bears.  We read a book on hibernation and discussed what other animals hibernate.  The bears enjoyed a picnic after a long winter of hibernating.

On Wednesday, we left the classroom and moved our centers to the big room.  The children did an art project that turned shapes into houses, built a house out of large card board blocks, and designed houses with magnet shapes.  The concept of addition was also introduced.

On Thursday, we turned tje focus back to hearts and the color purple.  I loved all the purple outfits (and a few also had hearts).  The class did a heart graphing sheet, worked on addition with Mrs. Tiffany, and made hearts using bleeding tissue paper.

Lookin ahead:  Monday is Beach Day!!
