Another fun and busy week for the children at ABC.  The focus of the week was “E” for egg, Easter and elephant.

The highlight of the week was the show for the grandparents.  All the children who participated did a wonderful job!

On Monday, we read the story Horton Hatches the Egg.  The children then opened plastic eggs to reveal other animals that hatch from eggs.  One of the centers was making a lift the flap egg with an animal that they drew inside.

On Tuesday, we read the story Elmer about a colorful elephantThe children practiced writing their E’s and made a colorful elephant using bleeding tissue paper.

On Thursday, the children made paper Easter eggs, played a letter game with plastic eggs and worked on an E/egg work sheet.  We also read a story about how eggs come in different sizes, colors and textures.

Happy Spring Break!
