Despite the crazy weather this week everyone was very excited on Halloween. I don’t know if the kids were more excited about the snow or trick-or-treating!
The letter of the week was “Z”. Z for Zoo, Zebra and Zoey!
The children heard the story Good Night Gorilla about a gorilla who stole the keys and lets his “friends” free. The zoo keepers wife rounded up the animals and the class played sequencing games, missing animal games, and made animal masks. They also built a zoo with blocks and plastic animals.
We not only focused on the letter “Z” but on patterns, counting, and same vs. different.
Looking ahead: Next week the children we make a noodle necklace, vote, and learn about their 5 senses!
