Hello! We had another great week! The chill of fall is definitely in the air!

Mon/Tuesday we focused on the color Red. We read the book “Red” and practiced writing our name.

In our centers we found the letters in our name, used writing boards, sorted out red chains, practiced tearing red paper, and colored our monthly nursery rhyme.

Wed/Thursday we did our first chapel where we learned the story of Creation. An activity came home for your family to do together!
In class we played with play doh and read the story Llama Llama learns to share.

In our centers we used Fanta boards, small peg boards, ABC magnets, puzzles, and sorted colors.

Next week we start October themes! Letters will be F M O P, the shape is square and the number is 2.

I would kindly urge all of you to practice using crayons, markers, pens, pencils, and play doh at home. All of this will help strengthen the muscles in their hands. We will be introducing scissors soon, and they need those muscles to use scissors!

Also as the weather gets colder please label all outer wear so it doesn’t get mixed up and lost! We try our best but their is a lot of kids in that hallway! Thank you!

We hope you have a great weekend!
Mrs. Kristina
