We had a great week especially with the warmer weather and getting to get outside for big room time! Please be sure to keep an eye on the calendar for all the upcoming dates or activities and when forms are due! There is lots going on the last few weeks of school! (20 days, YIKES! It will go by fast!)

Monday: Easter Party Day in class and Graduation pictures! Kids enjoyed making bunny ear headbands, doing a mini egg hunt and playing pin the tail on the bunny! The kids all smiled well, and it is fun to see the growth from the beginning of school picture to their graduation picture!

Tuesday: Kites – Kids came into class today and practiced their phone numbers and addresses in their QKs. We were busy in our centers today completing a number 16 activity page, practicing writing our Kks, coloring and cutting out 4 different size octagons, and lastly creating their kites. They could be creative and color their kites how they wanted and then glue their bows on the tail and hang them at home. Our cutting keeps improving and encourages fine motor practice at home as well.

Wednesday: Kicking Kangaroos – Students came into class to find their pieces for creating their Kayo the Kangaroo zoophonics animal by using my sample on the board. The book read today was Do Kangaroos Wear Seat Belts? Our center activities included  coloring the small pictures inside the K that begin with the K sound, coloring and counting the items in the given box that begin with the Kk sound, working on locating their lowercase letters which was done at Mrs. Jenn and Mrs. Aimee’s tables with them narrating which letter to find, and lastly was our monthly April writing and coloring/drawing sample.

Thursday: Kindness – We started our day coloring a patterned letter K and cutting it out when we were finished coloring. With our kindness theme today, we made a card for Mrs. Trish and all the kids signed it, which I’m sure brightened her day! We worked on some items that are for King and Queen Day which is approaching so I can’t give details, but we will have some things to finish up next week for it also. The book read was What Does It Mean to Be Kind?

Be sure to check the emails that Mrs. Trish and Mrs. Colleen sent out about next week and our Earth Day activities. There will be important information coming home soon regarding graduations that is IMPORTANT to be turned in by the due date.

Please let us know if you have any questions, as we are approaching the end of the school year. Have a great week and hope this warm weather stays around! ????
