This week flew by with some fun Y activities throughout the week and taking our Graduation pictures on Monday! Graduation will be here before we know it! Once we get through King and Queen Day, Graduation information will be coming home!

Monday: Yarntastic Yy’s – Students started the day with a yarn ball coloring page.  We try to do no marker activities on picture day, so we do not have extra fun marks on our clothes or skin! After we took our graduation pictures, we completed a Y is for yarn color/cut/paste activity. We read Bedtime for Yeti and How to Catch a Yeti. Also, we read our Yy alpha tales story about a Yak.

Tuesday: Y is for Yak – Students started the day by practicing their names and letters in their QKs. Our centers today were a number nineteen activity page, Yy item color page, tracing octagons in QKs and making our Yancy the Yak Zoo phonics animal. We read the story Yaks Yak today.

Wednesday: Yellow Day – We had lots of students wearing yellow today! Our start up activity was finding all the Yy’s in the letter search. We worked on some King and Queen Day items as well as coloring/cutting/and pasting our yellow webs. The books today were Sunny Bee and Yellow Hippo.

Thursday: Yay for Yoga – Kids were exercising and doing some yoga in big room today, which they enjoyed! Start up today was coloring and cutting our shape for the month, octagons. The kids also completed a half-drawn flower and cutting and pasting the word yellow on top along with tracing the word yellow and coloring the items. Some King and Queen items were worked on again today!

*We will also be completing our end of the year evaluations in the next couple of days. If my above items do not look like much, we have also been pulling children to get their evaluations completed throughout the class period.

Next week we will be on letter Qq and have some crafting to do!

Please let me know if you have any questions, looking forward to a great end to the year!!!
