We had a great week with a party to start it off! Mid-February has come and gone, and we are cruising right along! We covered letter Vv this week.

Monday: Valentine Party Day! Thank you to the parents that donated items and/or came in to help out with the party. Things went well!

Tuesday: ABC Vet Clinic – Students started the day with a valentine count page. The centers completed were a #16 activity page, practice letter Vv writing in QKs, creating their Vet badges, and decorating their goodie bags for our valentine exchange tomorrow. The books read were I Want to be a Veterinarian and Pout Pout Fish Special Valentine.

Wednesday: Vibrant Veggies – The classes started their day with an eat your veggies color page. We discussed the vegetables on the page and who eats which ones. We created a Valentine for our parents and worked on the color by number page when finished with the parent craft. The books we read today were Vegetables in Underwear and There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Rose.

Thursday: Vacation Day – Our start up was a letter V page with vegetables on it to color, cut and paste onto the letter V. We shared our favorite vacation picture/place/souvenir with our friends and had some fun ones! We also made our Vincent the Vampire Bat Zoo phonics animal and also made a vase with flower for letter V.

Next week we will be working on letter Hh.

PLEASE review the letters/recognition, numbers/recognition, and letter sounds with your child at home. FLASHCARDS are great for this and can be taken anywhere! While waiting in line for arrival, go through number or letter flashcards. Every little bit helps!

Let me know if you have any questions or concerns. See everyone back on Monday!
