Crazy that February is over already! The month flew by for me and can’t believe we only have 3 months left of this school year! We had fun covering letter Dd and doing some fun activities this week!

Monday: Dental Health Day – Students started the day by coloring a tooth page. Our centers were completing a healthy tooth vs. unhealthy teeth cut and paste, letter Dd writing practice in QKs, creating our marshmallow mouths, and doing different dental puzzles! The books read today were our Alpha Tales story Detective Dog and the Disappearing Doughnuts, Clark the Shark Tooth Trouble, and Little Critter Going to the Dentist.

Tuesday: Dialing our Phone Numbers – The kids came in today and colored and cut out a hot air balloon, this is for a project next week for Seuss activities. The items we finished today were practice writing out our phone numbers, practice dialing and saying aloud our phone numbers on paper cell phones, dabbing our phone numbers out on the door (kids favorite I believe) and lastly making our Zoophonics DeeDee the Deer. The books today were The Dinky Donkey and Dogs Don’t Wear Sneakers.

Wednesday: Double Duty Dinosaur Day 1 – Classes started with a letter Dd item color page. We always go over all the items listed on these pages. We also completed a Seuss craft that will be on display next week and I will post a picture once they are hung up! The centers today were I Spy Dino Count, A-Z upper and lowercase Dinosaur matching, If I Had a Pet Dinosaur…creative writing/picture, and a D for Dinosaur Q-Tip paint. The dino books today were We Don’t Eat Our Classmates and How Do Dinosaurs Pick Their Pets?

Thursday: Double Duty Dinosaur Day 2 – Students came in to a 2-sided letter Dd activity page. Some students then got to work on their stegosaurus headbands or got their stegosaurus hairstyle! Kids enjoyed both and from the pictures and faces, I think they enjoyed the day. The books today were Dinosaurs Love Underpants and Never Let a Dinosaur Scribble.

Crazy that next week is March already! Please be sure to send a coat with your child. With the temperatures changing daily, if the weather allows, we may start trying to go out for big room time on some of the nicer days.

We have grandparents’ day coming up in March and also some fun things planned for our next three letters coming up.

Email or message me on Group Me if you have any questions. See everyone in March!
