Hello! It was the week of Letter H!

Tuesday we started with crazy hair and hats!

In our centers we used straws and watercolors to blow paint for crazy hair, practiced cutting with craft scissors to make crazy hair, traced our numbers 1-20, built numbers on top hats, used colored noodles on the light tables for crazy hair dos!

In the afternoon we did an H sounds worksheet and used watercolors to paint a heart.

Wednesday was H is for Home! In our centers we drew a picture of our home and wrote one word that describes our house, cut/glued a house, traced and wrote the letter H, lower case to capital ABC match, built a house with playdoh.

In the afternoon we played a game with a ball and H sounds. We also drew a picture of our family.

Wednesday was also specials day so we practiced Spanish, sign language, and phonics. Our science lesson was What happens when you cover a candle surrounded by water with a glass jar?
Thursday was H is for heart! We made stained glass looking hearts, sorted words that begin with the letter H, counted hearts, traced and wrote the H and hearts on a white board, hammered golf tees in a heart.

In the afternoon we did a paint spread heart project, and made a letter H puzzle.

Next week is our Valentines party! Our party is Tuesday at 1:15. All are welcome! We will pass valentines out on Thursday in class. Thursday is also wear Pink or Purple day!
