Hello! We had a great week!

Mon/Tue we worked on the letter X. This is one of the most recognized letters so hopefully all the kids came home telling you about it! We read Pete the Cat and The Treasure Map, using homemade binoculars we went on a Hunt around the school in search of the letter X!

In our centers we colored our X ABC page, drew an X on the writing boards, matched shapes on a treasure map, made patterns with X and O’s, put chips on an X and Xylophone.

Wed/Thurs we focused on the letter I. We read Curious George builds an Igloo and we ate Ice Cream! That was definitely the kids favorite part!
In our centers we colored our I ABC page, practiced cutting, number recognition, used Pom poms to fill ice cream cones, traced our names.

Mid Year progress reports were sent home, I just want to say all these kids have grown in the last 5 months even if it is not written in that report! I have witnessed so much growth in academics and in social skills and both are equally important!

We’ve had the cold weather around for awhile and I don’t think it’s leaving anytime soon, it would be so helpful if the kids could practice putting on and zipping their coats. Often times we are in a hurry at the end of the day and it’s 1 of me verses 10 coats! I would love if you could help them practice! Thank you!

Have a great weekend!
