This week flew by, and here we are at Spring Break already and when we return the rest of the school year is going to fly! We had fun this last week together of March and performed our Grandparent’s Day program. Kids took pictures with the grandparents and those will be going home after Spring Break, be checking their folders for those!

Monday: Ears & Eyes – Students came in and colored a shamrock page for St. Patrick’s Day yesterday. The activities we completed today were our silly eye masks and our four-diamond shape color and cut page. Hopefully the kids modeled their silly eyes for you! The books today were our Alpha tale story The Enormous Elephant Show, The Eye Book, and The Ear Book.

Tuesday: Extraordinary Elephants – Classes started their day with an Ee item coloring page. We always go over all the items listed on these pages so kids can associate the items with the beginning letter/sound. We also constructed our Ellie the Elephant zoophonics animal. Last, we read the story Elmer and colored our own unique elephants like Elmer. We ended with Elmer and the Whales and Elephants Cannot Dance.

Wednesday: Grandparent’s Day Program! ????

Thursday: Explaining Easter – The kids came in and decorated their own Easter egg (paper) and cut it out. We also practiced writing some Ee’s and colored and cut out our own peep. The books we read were The Great Eggscape, Pete the Cat Easter Adventure, and There Was an Old Lady Who Swallowed a Chick. Students enjoyed a little extra big room break at the end of the day.

Enjoy your Spring Break! Safe travels if you are going out of town and enjoy the time off! We will be busy bees the next couple of weeks when we return back on TUESDAY, April 2nd. Happy Easter!!!
