This week we had some Ee fun and also enjoyed our Grandparents Day program on Wednesday! The kids all performed well and the pictures that were taken will be sent home after we return from Spring Break!

Monday: Ears and Eyes – Students started their day with an Ee letter find and count. Our centers included a spring graphing page, tracing e’s with different colors that were given, Ee practice writing in QKs, and lastly creating tangram animals. The books read were The Ear Book and The Eye Book both are Dr. Seuss books.

Tuesday: Extraordinary Elephants – When students arrived they had all their pieces at their seat to create their own Ellie the Elephant our zoophonics Ee letter. My sample was on the board for them to use and guide them where to glue the pieces. We read the story Elmer, which was our focus today. We discussed the book and talked about how everyone is different/unique and that is just fine. Being yourself and not trying to blend in with others, stand out like Elmer! The students then colored their own Elmers, which turned out great! We had another book Elmer and the Whales we read. Also ended with Elephants Cannot Dance!

Wednesday: Grandparents Day! We hope everyone enjoyed the program! The students have another chance in April to take the stage before graduation so I anticipate some more great performances!

Thursday: Explaining Easter – Students started the day coloring an Easter peep page. We read the book The Easter Story and talked about the TRUE meaning of Easter. There were some students that helped out giving information on the true story, awesome that some know it! We also created our spring bunnies to display at home! Enjoy! Another story we read was The Good Egg.

We will be off next week for Spring Break and will return to school on Monday, April 3rd. If you have any questions, please feel free to reach out. Message on GroupMe or email me MrsAimeeABC@gmail.com.

HAVE A RELAXING, SAFE, AND ENJOYABLE SPRING BREAK! LOOKING FORWARD TO HEARING STORIES OF FUN TIMES THAT THE KIDS HAD WHILE AWAY FROM SCHOOL!
